We have
to bulletin one pity news -- Seraphim's US tour
was canceled at this moment. We knew that you're
looking forward to wait for us for a long time,
the reason why was came from our promoter who
has his personal problem so that can't arrange
it going on. Anyway, we thanks to our promoter
for his arrange period and thak you for your patience
all the time. We apologize again, hope to see
you all on next tour!

- Hughes & Kettner signs Seraphim |
Seraphim, the premier ranked Taiwanese rock band,
has signed a two year endorsement deal with Hughes
& Kettner. Paul Airey Met Kessier the lead guitarist/vocalist
and Quinn the?female lead vocalist of Seraphim during
his recent visit to Hong Kong, and the deal was
done.
Kessier has always been a great Hughes & Kettner
fan. He actually flew to Japan three years ago to
buy his Triamp, and just loves the versatility it
gives him on stage.
Seraphim will visit Europe in the Autumn of 2007
to do a short tour. We look forward to seeing them
then, and wish them every success with their new
album "Rising".

2007.4.26 - SERAPHIM on Hughes & Kettner! |
SERAPHIM’s guitar player KESSIER can take pride in the fact, that he’s been part of Taiwan’s very first metal band Rosetau back in 1983. Throughout his long music career, he has played inumerous shows - sharing the stage with such icons like Bon Jovi and Steve Vai.
His current band SERAPHIM formed in 2001, putting out their debut album „The Soul That Never Dies“ the same year. The following three years saw the release of two more albums and SERAPHIM’s first world tour. A special touch is, that they always prepare 2 versions of their albums: one for the Chinese and a second one for the international markets. As the band is about to put out their 4th album „Rising“ and launch another European tour now, it was high time to have a chat with long-time Hughes & Kettner user KESSIER:
For how long have you been playing?
I've been playing guitar for 25 years, since I was 16.
What got you into guitar playing initally?
I admired many musicians like Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen...etc. Their playing and stage performances were so inspiring for me, that I started wishing I could do something just as cool - so I decided to study guitar playing!
Any favorite players, that influenced you back then?
There are many great players that influenced me. My most favorite guitarists are: Vinnie Moore, Marty Friedman, John Petrucci, Tony MacAlpine, Kiko Loureiro, Andy Timmons & Pete Lesperance.
What's your favorite guitar?
The Ibanez J-Custom. And that’s not because I'm an Ibanez endorsee now - I have loved this guitar for a long time. I have collect 33 guitars by now, 26 of them are Ibanez, 18 of those are J-Customs.
When and how did you discover Hughes & Kettner?
I got into Hughes & Kettner amps in 1992, when I found an Attax 100 Combo at a local music store in Taipei - and the sound blew me away! No matter if I used the amp live or for recording, it always delivered my tone and never let me down! Although it is 14 years old now, I still play it everyday! This amp was my best friend for a long time!
What Hughes & Kettner gear do you play now?
I had a Tubeman MK 2, which I used for some guitars clinics, and I really loved the sound! That got me into bringing a TriAmp MK2 home, which I bought in Tokyo because these amps are hard to find in Taiwan. Now I finally got the magnificent sound that I’ve always dreamt of! I also own a couple other amps that I collected over the years – but to me, TriAmp is the best!
Are you coming to Europe or the US soon?
Last time we played Europe was in ’04, and we are looking forward to coming back with our new album now – and we’ll also try to make it to the US this time around!
