Heavy Metal Universe (France) - 5/6
Most of NIGHTWISH-like symphonic heavy speed metal fans who like lyrical female voices would surely have discovered SERAPHIM with their previous record (The Equal Spirit) in 2002.

Well, since 2001 -release date of their too-unknown first album called "The Soul That Never Dies"- the Taïwanese band's still recording excellent and wonderful albums which can compete with the best productions of the style's leaders. This third opus, then, keeps following the rule and brings some brand new songs that are symphonic but fast, and contain lyrical female vocals, develish death/black male growls, the whole in the band's mother-language with poignant melodies and powerfully executed riffs.

One could just regret that these peevish vocals aren't more present for they make SERAPHIM very particular and different than their Finish comrades... Anyway, what's sure is that... when some are losing their animosity, the guys of SERAPHIM remain loyal to their roots and original strength which make us loving heavy metal music.
